Clayton & Elizabeth didn’t get to go to church this am.
Came by tonight on the way to church. When they got down in town there wasn’t any light at the church so they came on home.
About my little diary project
The goal is to post entries from the diaries and journals of my ancestors, willing friends and family, myself, and found public sources like a diary my godmother discovered in a Kentucky resale shop. I want to organize them by writer, date, and where possible, geographic location. The reason: I want to honor and create a shared, minimally curated source of daily accounts of life from ordinary people. If you’d like to participate, contact me for guidelines.

First, they skipped church because it rained. Now they couldn’t go because the lights were out. I’m starting to wonder where they don’t really want to go to church.
That’s a really good question…maybe she’s a shut-in.
Has our writer ever left the premises?
